It’s good and go
“Spin me around again…“
Writing funny pieces are f**king hard.
It is significantly more difficult to make people laugh than to make them cry. After all sadness is a universal emotion, happiness however is personal.
Besides, tears can also be caused by a dozen other reasons- pain, hardship, sickness, etc. No one laughs for no reason unless he/she is a mad scientist or kind of loopy. Hahaha.. Loopy!
We need a reason to laugh but no reason is needed to cry, at least I think so lah.
This however does not stop me from laughing randomly. I think I have an over-active funny bone. Hahaha..
I’m even thinking of setting up a laughing/humour society or club.
I saw this documentary about these laughing societies/clubs where they meet every morning to do special ‘exercises’. It looks like and seems to be a jolly good idea too albeit loopy~ Long live laugh therapy!!
Hence, it is with renewed vigour I began my endeavour into the twisted and dark world of laugh therapy.
(I’m the only person I know who uses the word ‘hence’ in my sentences~ Sad, sad..) So after immersing myself in the dark side, the results of my “study into laughter” are
1. Laughter lowers blood pressure.
2. Humour changes our biochemical state.
3. Laughter protects the heart.
4. Laughter gives our bodies a good work out.
5. Humour improves brain function and relieves stress.
A note of caution- excessive use of laughter, just like smoking kills. Therefore laugh wisely and in moderation. Haha..
“…and rub my eyes, this can’t be happening~“
