stuck with nothing

“How long before you decide?…“

Betrayal is a word with strong connotations. It implies a deceitful act- a breach of trust. However, not all betrayal are of such grave nature. Personally, I don’t like to be called a ‘betrayer‘ or a ‘traitor‘ but sometimes in life, things happen. By things, I mean crazy things.

Life is mostly a solitary journey. There are fleeting times in life when we’ll have companions but overall our lives is a journey for oneself. To get ahead in life and in any situation for that matter, one must dare to break away from the group. It’s a necessity, if we need to travel everywhere with somebody, wouldn’t we be tied down and not able to do everything we want?

Currently, I’m trying to dissociate myself and start to go at my studies alone. I’ve decided that if I want to succeed in my studies, I must do it by myself. I’ve realised that sticking with other people is counter-productive. (Although I enjoy the company and the good times…)

But, sticking with other people and relying on their judgement or the judgement of the group is bad. Sometimes, for no apparent reason I’m skipping classes just because my friends don’t want to go in~ And more often than not, I find myself doing last minute work just because none of my peers did it early.. Damn..

So am I a ‘traitor‘?
